COACHING


LRBC coaching program offers badminton training courses to juniors (age 5-18) and adults of all skill levels. Whether you are beginners, advanced or very competitive badminton players or anywhere in between, our qualified and experienced coaches can help you learn the fundamentals and improve your games and fitness through systematic and customized training.

Coaching sessions are offered year-round to club members only and each session is typically 10-week long.

Our Coaches

Vincent Nguy

  • 17 years of coaching experience at all levels. Specialize in junior development.
  • Level 3 high performance certified badminton coach
  • Former U.S. National Team Member
  • Former #2 U.S. Men’s Doubles National Ranked
  • Champions of 2009 Boston Open, 2010 Miami PanAm International, and 2010 Pan American
  • Former U.S. Junior National Champion

Loch Raven Badminton Club is seeking the following coaching positions:

  • Associate Coach

  • Assistant Coach

These are part-time, paid positions under the Greater Loch Raven Recreation and Parks Council of Baltimore County. These positions will report to our club Head Coach and Coaching Program Director. Candidates will work with our Head Coach in the junior coaching session that runs every Saturday from 8:15 am to 12:15 pm, year-round. Our junior coaching program provides badminton training/lessons to juniors age 5 to 18. Candidates should be active and skilled badminton players and have great attitude and communication skills to work with the juniors. For the Associate Coach position, previous coaching experience is required and opportunities to work on other coaching sessions with juniors or adults are available.
